Visual Artist

KYLE
IS A 20-something, BLACK, QUEER ARTIST FROM THE DMV AREA. HE'S BEEN MAKING ART SINCE HE WAS A LITTLE BOY (IF YOU CONSIDER SCRIBBLING crayon ON YOUR PARENTS' WALLS TO BE ART, which he does). in spite of his ADHD, KYLE GRADUATED FROM THE CORCORAN SCHOOL OF THE ARTS AND DESIGN AT THE GEORGE WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY IN 2018 WITH A hard-earned DEGREE IN the FINE ARTS.

THOUGH HIS PROFESSORS ENCOURAGED (FORCED) HIM TO BE MULTI-DISCIPLINARY, HE now WORKS PRIMARILY IN 2D MEDIa (both digital and traditional). HE DOES, HOWEVER, ENJOY THE LITERARY AND PERFORMING ARTS AS WELL, FROM TIME TO TIME.
Kyle's MAIN stylistic INFLUENCES COME FROM POPULAR CULTURE, especially animation. HIS SPECIALty is portraiture, and his WORK seeks to capture likenesses and CELEBRATE the features that make each of us unique and beautiful.
Despite this specialty, Kyle takes pride in his versatility as an artist, and accepts commissions for all sorts of art. He also teaches classes, both for casual fun-seekers and for artists who genuinely want to improve their craft.

Art is Kyle's passion. His life's work. He often says it's the only thing he's good at.
However, when he's not creating, he's consuming. He loves to play video games, watch TV and movies (especially animation and superheroes), eat desserts (at any time of day), take "outfit of the day" selfies, record silly TikToks, follow YouTube yoga videos, and hang out with his dog Leo. Kyle is a Taurus, he's weirdly obsessed with the sky, and his favorite color is (appropriately) sky blue.

On very rare occasions, when he has the energy and time, he works on the first draft of his Science-Fantasy adventure novel with his best friend/lifelong creative partner, Stephanie.
